Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 April 2026
1 · Scope
These terms govern the electrical services provided by SwiftVolt ("we", "us") to any customer ("you") across Greater London. By calling us, submitting a callback request on this website, or letting an engineer start work at your property, you accept these terms.
2 · Callout & response
- We operate 24/7 across Greater London (inside the M25).
- Callback-request response: under 30 minutes, any hour. If we miss it, the first on-site assessment is free.
- Emergency attendance: typically within 45–90 minutes of confirming the job.
3 · Pricing
- Emergency callouts: £95/hour, 1-hour minimum. No call-out fee. Same rate out-of-hours.
- EICR certification: from £220 for a 1-bed flat. Larger properties quoted after a walkthrough.
- Parts: supplied at trade cost plus a flat 15% handling fee, shown on your invoice.
- Remedial works arising from a faulty EICR are always quoted in writing before we start. You are never pressured into extra work.
4 · Payment
- Invoices are issued same-day by email.
- Payment due: 7 days from invoice for homeowners and landlords. 30 days for commercial clients on an agreed retainer.
- Accepted methods: bank transfer, card. Cheques only by prior arrangement.
- Late payment: statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 applies to overdue commercial invoices.
5 · Referral scheme
- When a customer you referred books a paid job with SwiftVolt and we complete that job, £25 is credited to your next SwiftVolt invoice and £25 is credited to your friend's invoice.
- The referred job must be their first job with us, paid in full, and not under an existing retainer.
- Credits are applied automatically when we can match referrer name + phone. Please refer by filling in the form on swiftvolt.co.uk/#referral.
- Referral credits do not stack with other discounts. No cash alternative.
6 · Workmanship warranty
- All installation work carries a 12-month workmanship warranty from the date of the invoice.
- If the installation fails due to our workmanship inside that window, we return and rectify at no charge.
- The warranty does not cover: damage caused by third parties, mis-use, other trades working on the circuit after us, component failure outside manufacturer warranty, or anything labelled "temporary" on the original invoice.
7 · Cancellation
- Appointments can be cancelled free of charge up to 2 hours before the scheduled attendance time.
- Cancellations inside the 2-hour window may incur a £50 fee to cover mobilisation.
- Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013: if you arrange work at your home or workplace via this website, you have a 14-day cancellation right. If you explicitly request us to start emergency work inside that 14-day window, you waive the right to cancel the work already done.
8 · Certifications
- All notifiable work is issued with an installation certificate and logged with NICEIC within 24 hours.
- EICR reports are issued electronically within 24 hours of the inspection.
- Replacement copies of past certificates: free for 6 years, £15 admin fee after.
9 · Liability
- We carry £5,000,000 public liability and £10,000,000 employer's liability insurance.
- Our total liability for any single incident is limited to the lower of: (a) our insurance cover, or (b) direct physical damage reasonably attributable to our work.
- We are not liable for indirect losses (loss of business, loss of earnings, data loss) except where UK law makes that limitation unenforceable.
10 · Regulation
SwiftVolt is an NICEIC-approved contractor, NAPIT-registered, Part P compliant and works to BS 7671:2018 + Amendment 2:2022 (18th Edition wiring regulations). Certification numbers available on request.
11 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
